We’re working with a fast-growing SME in Yorkshire that’s undergoing a period of significant expansion. They’re looking to appoint a qualified Finance Manager to support the Finance Director and help drive both day-to-day financial operations and long-term strategic initiatives.

This is a key role offering a broad remit, senior-level exposure, and the chance to make a real difference in a growing, entrepreneurial business.

The Role:

As Finance Manager, you’ll take ownership of core finance processes and play a pivotal role in supporting business decision-making. You’ll lead on monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and team management — while also getting involved in investor reporting and finance transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly management accounts with variance analysis
Preparation of budgets, revised forecasts, and cashflow models
Financial covenant reporting to external stakeholders
Oversight of balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns
Statutory accounts preparation and external audit support
Leading a team of 4 direct and 4 indirect reports
Supporting internal stakeholders with financial insight
Enhancing internal controls and improving processes
Preparing board packs and investor materials

The Ideal Candidate:

ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness
Experience managing or mentoring finance staff
Confident, collaborative communicator with a hands-on approach
